Join us Saturday morning as we add some beautiful agaves to the Mission Garden: Friends of Tucson's Birthplace. Each of these agaves are being donated through the proceeds of our "Urban Agave" Arizona Pocket T-shirt collaboration with Qmulative x Mezcal Carreño (get yours here!).
Additional agaves are being donated from Bat Conservation International. They want to stop the rapid population decline of the endangered Mexican long-nosed bat. BCI's focus is on conservation activities aimed at identifying, protecting, and restoring agave habitat – the key food source for this nectar feeding bat so a perfect partner for the "Urban Agave" Initiative.
Volunteers will help putting the agaves in unique spots to enhance the gardens look while providing future support for the bats. All tools and gloves will be provided. Just bring some extra water.
Afterwards volunteers can head to a local restaurant partner for passed appetizers and drinks.
